those times when you are lonely.

and it makes you sad thinking about all your friends you know having someone. i think about the people who deserve better. i laugh sometimes when i think about how i can even stand listening to ridiculously cute couple stories. it’s been so long, i just can’t even imagine what it’s like anymore. that infatuated, butterflies in your tummy kind of feeling, the staying up late, the closeness. i sometimes think about the things that could have turned into somethings, but then wonder if i’d just be settling. the times i’ve done or said something stupid to change someone’s mind about me. how many good things have slipped away because of that. i’d like to think that when you’re not looking for something, wishing for it, or wanting it, God somehow works it into your life in ways you wouldn’t expect. or so i can hope at least. so if i can ever be lucky enough to find someone who goes above and beyond all the expectations i tend to create, prove me wrong for all the typical cliches that i seem to assume about every boy, dealing with my complete and total stubbornness, irrationality, argumentativeness, and who’s completely insane and unfathomable for choosing me out of everyone out there, i’d be a lucky girl.
